When we die, what do we take with us? What do we leave behind?
The Collector is an artist's book that intertwines grief with the physical remains of existence. Suddenly losing my grandfather in late 2024 was the catalyst for this piece. His collections serve as visual content for the book, photos of items preserved in a portable museum. Excerpts of my writing throughout the grieving process accompany them.
