The central theme within my studio work is the adaptation of seemingly undefinable subjects, such as the cyclical nature of life, grief, and identity, interpreting them in the context of tangible places and concepts that bring forth new narratives: whether it be the myth, nature, or my own stories. Formally, my work primarily consists of artist books, contemporary ceramic vessels, and various 2D pieces with a focus on the combination of design-focused narrative and form. Through my interdisciplinary technical skills, I can translate one idea in a variety of forms, celebrating the expression and reinterpretation of craft as a foundational medium. The result demonstrates a dedication to marrying technique and concept, with a love and respect for the process.
